Michigan cornerback Benjamin St-Juste is 100 percent healthy and returning to the Wolverines in January, a source close to the situation told WolverinesWire.

The sophomore missed the entire 2018 season with a hamstring injury, and coach Jim Harbaugh ruled him out back on Sept. 25.

As a true freshman in 2017, St-Juste played in all 12 games, primarily on special teams. On defense, he made just three tackles.

Michigan junior cornerbacks Lavert Hill and David Long plan to make their decisions to enter the 2019 NFL Draft or return to the Wolverines in the near future.

If both intend to depart, St-Juste would have a clear opportunity in spring practice to begin earning a top roster spot.

St-Juste was a member of Michigan’s 2017 class from Cegep du Vieux High School in Montreal. The three-star prospect was ranked No. 338 in the nation, No. 39 at the cornerback position and No. 1 in Quebec.
