Aubrey Solomon announces transfer destination

The Aubrey Solomon era at Michigan has officially come to a close.

Early this week, it was reported that the former five-star from Leesburg (GA) Lee County would seek to play elsewhere, and on Friday, we now know where that is.

Solomon took to Twitter to announce that he has committed to Tennessee, where he will have to sit a year before taking the field again.

Solomon originally committed back in June 2016, but decommitted shortly after. But on National Signing Day 2017, with Georgia and Alabama being the primary competition, Solomon chose the Wolverines.

As a true freshman, Solomon appeared in all 13 games, and looked the part of a future starter and future star. However, after having appendicitis this spring and injuries this fall, he was severely limited.

Tennessee, who garnered his commitment, recently won a head-to-head recruiting battle with Michigan, getting 2020 quarterback Harrison Bailey from Marietta (GA). It’s currently believed to be a Michigan-Tennessee battle for the services of top athlete, four-star Quavaris Crouch, who’s expected to make his choice known on Friday evening.
