Trevor Keegan Commits to Michigan

2019 Crystal Lake (IL) South four-star offensive tackle Trevor Keegan kept his recruitment close to the vest, but with Michigan, Georgia and Penn State vying for his services, there was a lot surrounding the 6-foot-6, 310-pound OT’s decision just before Early Signing Day.

And it turned out in Michigan’s favor.

Keegan earned his offer to play for Michigan in the summer of 2017, after camping at the Wolverines Big Man Camp at The Big House, a camp in which he was limited with a cast on his hand. Back then, he said the offer was big, and apparently it stuck with him, as Keegan made his pledge to the maize and blue in a ceremony at his high school on Friday night.

Michigan had long been in serious consideration, as evidenced by his secret visit, first reported by WolverinesWire, a month-plus ago.

For some time, it looked like it was going to be a Michigan – Ohio State battle, but the Buckeyes were eventually eliminated from his final three.

Keegan’s commitment brings the Wolverines back to 24 pledges in the 2019 class. It moves Michigan back to first-place in the Big Ten and to No. 8 overall in the 247Sports Composite, bypassing Ohio State.

Keegan is ranked 163rd overall in the 247Sports Composite and the 17th-best OT in the class. He’s also the top-rated player in the state of Illinois this cycle.
