Daxton Hill Decommits from Michigan, Flips to Alabama

Well, so much for that.

The Wolverines had a gamebreaker in the fold in Tulsa (OK) Booker T. Washington five-star safety Daxton Hill. Well, no longer.

Hill tweeted Saturday night that he is decommitting from the Wolverines and joining Alabama.

In his initial decision, Hill was choosing between six schools — Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Ohio State — the Wolverines faced fierce competition for the top-rated player in the state of Oklahoma, who visited campus unofficially on March 17. Hill committee after his Week Three visit during the season.

The Wolverines move forward without Hill with eyes on early signing day inn Dec. 19.

Edit: fixed the earlier version which erroneously stated Hill flipped to Oklahoma.
