Cris Carter Speculating Jim Harbaugh Return To NFL

It isn’t another Michigan football year without head coach Jim Harbaugh being speculated for every NFL head coaching gig opening. Two jobs have already opened up in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns firing Hue Jackson and the Green Bay Packers firing Mike McCarthy.

The latest rumors are now saying that Harbaugh could leave Michigan for either Green Bay or Cleveland. Who is starting these rumors? Former Ohio State wide receiver Cris Carter. Considering this source, don’t think Harbaugh is going to the NFL. Carter also played for the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL so he could be using this to scare the Wolverine fans and Vikings fans because both wouldn’t want that to happen.

Carter was on First Things First, a Fox Sports One show and the segment was talking about could New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels be a good fit for quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Carter disputed McDaniels, then threw in his information about Harbaugh.

“I’m just going to tell you guys a name,” Carter said. “Watch out for Jim Harbaugh because Jim Harbaugh potentially is trying to get his way out of Michigan. I got good sources that are telling me not only Green Bay, but also watch out for the Cleveland Browns. He likes the quarterback situation there and I believe that there is front office people in Green Bay who are enamored with Jim Harbaugh and potentially trying to get him to come to Green Bay.”

We hear it every year since he has arrived at Michigan. “Jim Harbaugh is going back to the NFL”, “Harbaugh wants another shot to win a Super Bowl”, “Jim is only at Michigan to help rebuild so they can be in good shape without him.” Same stuff different season.

Harbaugh isn’t going anywhere. Harbaugh is a Michigan alum and like Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, won’t leave his alma mater unless he retires. Harbaugh is better at the college game than the NFL. His family loves Ann Arbor and the university. We hear this EVERY off-season and sometimes, as we are right now, we are hearing it when Michigan still has a game left to play and the NFL regular season still has a month left.

If Harbaugh does try and leave Michigan, believe it when it is from a better source than a former Buckeye.
