4-star APB Giles Jackson Breaks Down In-Home Visit with Jim McElwain

Even though Oakley (Calif.) Freedom 2019 four-star all-purpose back Giles Jackson has been locked into Michigan since Sept. 10, wide receivers coach Jim McElwain still found a way to visit on Nov. 28.

Jackson claimed the in-home visit went great.

“It meant a lot, actually,” Jackson said. “Coach McElwain and I talk almost every other day. He just recently said he was going to visit, and I got super excited.”

McElwain actually told Jackson how they would’ve used the current senior in high school during Michigan’s 62-39 blowout loss against Ohio State.

“He said they need speed,” Jackson added.

Jackson said he will be signing to play for Michigan in December in Mexico City at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy All-Star World Bowl on Dec. 22. It marks the first time the event is being held outside the United States.

“Just to go to a great school like Michigan is an honor with the education and huge alumni,” he said.

Jackson is ranked No. 360 in the nation, No. 45 at wide receiver and No. 45 in California, per the 247Sports Composite.
