Harrison Bailey Commits to Tennessee over Michigan

Down to Michigan and Tennesse, 2020 four-star quarterback Harrison Bailey made his pick on Nov. 29 in the Marietta Performing Arts Center.

His choice – the Volunteers.

Bailey, from Marietta (Ga.), said he will not reclassify to the 2019 class.

The 6-foot-4, 217-pound pro-style quarterback has offers to play for Michigan, Tennessee, Alabama, Appalachian State, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, Miami (FL), Mississippi State, N.C. State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Purdue, Syracuse and Texas A&M.

Bailey’s most recent two visits were a trip in June and an unofficial to see Michigan play against Maryland on Oct. 6.

“Michigan was awesome,” Bailey said after his June visit. “I loved it. Coach (Pep) Hamilton was with me all day and never left my side through the whole visit.”

The quarterback seemed to be a heavy Michigan lean, but the tide switched to Tennesse down the stretch.

Bailey is ranked No. 59 in the nation, No. 3 at his position and No. 7 in Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite.

He is the fourth member of Tennessee’s 2020 recruiting class. Others include three-star wide receiver Antonio Barber, two-star safety Will Albright and defensive end Jordan Davis.

Due to missing on Bailey, Michigan still has just four 2020 commits in Columbus (Ohio) Northland four-star wide receiver Kalil Branham, Belleville (Mich.) four-star cornerback Andre Seldon, West Bloomfield (Mich.) three-star inside linebacker Cornell Wheeler and San Antonio (Texas) Christian three-star tight end Nick Patterson.
