Michigan did not repeat 2016’s 78-0 destruction of Rutgers, but the Wolverines did just enough to comfortably blow the Scarlet Knights out, with seeming minimal effort.

Shea Patterson is 16th (+2) in the country in completion percentage with 67% and 14th in the nation with a passer rating of 160.34. He is 17th in yards-per-attempt with 8.5. He only attempts 22.7 throws per game, which is 88th nationally.

Rushing offense:

31st (-1), average of 215.4 yards-per-game. Karan Higdon is 12th nationally, averaging 111.67 yards-per-game.

Rutgers outgained all but three teams on Michigan’s schedule thus far, bolstered by an uncharacteristic 80 yard run for a touchdown.
