Michigan, Cincinnati Currently Tied at No. 1 for 2020 CB Jaheem Joseph

Jaheem Joseph got off the plane with his parents, mother Regla Pedroso and father Antione Joseph, and headed straight for the University of Michigan.

Prior to Michigan’s game against Penn State on Nov. 3, the Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace 2020 cornerback watched walk-throughs, spoke to coaches and gobbled up his lunch.

Parents by his side, Joseph watched Michigan’s 42-7 dominance of Penn State.

“It was my mom’s first time in Ann Arbor, and she loved it,” Joseph said of Pedroso’s experience. “Both my parents loved the atmosphere.”

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back has offers from Michigan, Louisville, Cincinnati, Marshall, Florida Atlantic and Syracuse. Joseph’s only been to Michigan and Cincinnati, so those are his early leaders.

“I really like Michigan after this visit,” Joseph said. “It was special because my mom met the coaches, and it was the first game I ever attended.”

Joseph plans to return in the summer for a personal visit to get a perfect feel for the Wolverines before making a college decision late in the summer or at the beginning of his senior football season.

The rising 2020 prospect said he loves Cincinnati’s campus and defensive scheme, but he has one more commodity to check off his list.

“I just have to take my mom to see the campus,” Joseph said of the Bearcats.
