Interesting Note on 2020 3-star OT Zak Zinter

Zak Zinter has visited Michigan for the Big Man Big House camp on June 18 and BBQ at the Big House on July 28.

The North Andover (Mass.) Buckingham Browne & Nichols School 2020 three-star offensive tackle went to see the Wolverines play Penn State on Nov. 3, a 42-7 victory for coach Jim Harbaugh’s group.

For the first time in his recruitment, Zinter said Michigan was “high” on his list. Usually, the rising prospect keeps thoughts of rankings to himself, which made his recent comment surprising.

Zinter’s recent visit was his third time in Ann Arbor but first trip for a game. Michigan offered him a scholarship on Sept. 26.

“What an awesome experience between the energy of the game, the fans and the Michigan hospitality,” Zinter said.

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive tackle has offers to Boston College, Duke, Dartmouth, Michigan, Massachusetts, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Tennessee.

Usually, Zinter claims all his offers are important. This time, he singled out Michigan – putting them high on his list.

“It’s still early for me, but Michigan is high on my list,” Zinter said.

He is looking for an academic college that plays big-time football.

Zinter is ranked No. 417 in the 2020 class, No. 48 at offensive tackle and No. 3 in Massachusetts, according to 247Sports Composite.
