Michigan - Rutgers Game Time Set

The last time the Wolverines traveled to Piscataway (NJ), Michigan and Rutgers kicked off under the lights at High Point Solutions Stadium. This time around, on Saturday, Nov. 10, it won’t start that way, but it will assuredly end that way.

It was finally announced on Sunday morning that Michigan and Rutgers will kick off at 3:30PM and the game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.

The last time these two Big Ten East foes met in the state of New Jersey, there was a lot of bad blood leading into the game as a result of some sheninigans that took place during Michigan’s summer satellite camp — to which Rutgers was invited and not-so-politely declined — joining an upstart Ohio State camp the same day. Beyond that, there was a flyering scenario, that showed that Rutgers donors were mispleased with Michigan.

How did the Wolverines respond? Michigan beat Rutgers 78-0 and didn’t allow a first down until late in the fourth quarter.

Could the same happen this year? Last year’s matchup was closer, and the Wolverines didn’t pile it on as they made a quarterback change. However, this year, the top five team in the College Football Playoff rankings is firing on all cylinders, with the nation’s top defense (by a wide margin) and a balanced offense. Rutgers, on the other hand, has the nation’s second-worst offensive attack.
