How Michigan and Rutgers Match Up Statistically

We’re not gonna lie — this isn’t going to be pretty.

With all the jokes on our podcast (and going back years, if you’ve followed along with what we’ve had to say about a certain former Big East team) about not knowing what a Rutgers is, we do know one thing for certain: it’s a terrible team.

Rutgers has just one win this season and has mostly been uncompetitive across its schedule, and will be facing a Michigan team firing on all cylinders.

So, in preview, here’s how the teams rank, unit-by-unit, nationally.

CONCLUSIONS

Everything that Rutgers is bad at on one side of the ball, Michigan is good at on the other side of the ball. Everything that Rutgers is good or mediocre at one side of the ball, Michigan either doesn’t really do (pass) or is good at on the other side of the ball (when Michigan decides to actually pass — efficiency-wise).

This has all the markings of an absolute drubbing on Saturday, save for any shenanigans, penalties, injuries or turnovers.
