3-star QB Beau Allen Reflects on Recent Michigan Visit

One week before Michigan’s dominant rivalry win against Michigan State, Lexington (Ky.) Catholic 2020 three-star quarterback Beau Allen was in Ann Arbor for Michigan’s 38-13 walloping of Wisconsin.

“It was really great,” Allen said. “The experience was absolutely incredible. I had a great time talking to some of the coaches.”

On the trip, Allen spoke with quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton. The duo exchanged words about the upcoming game plan for Wisconsin’s defense.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback has offers from Kentucky, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Duke, Eastern Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan and Washington State.

Allen said the Michigan visit helped the Wolverines rise up his list of schools.

“It was great for me to see the game atmosphere, which I really loved,” he explained. “The visit did a lot.”

Allen, as a rising 2020 quarterback, closely watched Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson against the Badgers. Patterson finished 14-of-20 for 124 yards, adding nine carries for 90 yards and one touchdown.

“I liked how he could make very difficult throws, how well he moved in the pocket and his accuracy,” he detailed.

Could Allen see himself playing in a Michigan jersey?

“I believe I would be a good fit in terms of how they use their quarterbacks and how the offense is played,” Allen said.
