Report: James Hudson to Transfer From Michigan

A week or so ago, news circulated that Michigan LB Drew Singleton would be departing the program. Well, add another player to the list.

Per 247Sports’ Steve Lorenz, former Toledo (OH) Central Catholic OT James Hudson has asked for and has received permission to transfer.

When RT Juwann Bushell-Beatty suffered an apparent leg injury at MSU on Saturday, it wasn’t Hudson who entered the game, despite it being his position. Andrew Stueber came in, and on Monday, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh said that Hudson had suffered a disclocated finger the previous week, which precluded his ability to stay second on the depth chart.

Hudson came to Michigan as a defensive lineman, but moved over to the offensive side of the ball soon after arriving in Ann Arbor as a freshman.
