Onwenu Defends PF Call, Calls MSU Player He Shoved In-Game ‘Trash’

It was a moment where things could have taken a shift at Spartan Stadium.

Michigan was up 14-7 and driving, just getting into the red zone. But after a first down play that seemed to go nowhere, tempers flared, and as a MSU defender hit the turf, a yellow flag was hoisted into the air.

The culprit was obvious: Michigan RG Michael Onwenu.

Thankfully for the Wolverines, there were offsetting personal fouls calls, but now that the game is over, Onwenu has no problem sharing why he took action and got flagged.

Taking to social media on Sunday morning, Onwenu posted a video of the play, with an explanation. He calls ‘#96’ aka MSU DE Jacub Panasiuk, a dirty player, as in the video, he’s going at it with Michigan center Cesar Ruiz.
