Today’s Michigan vs Maryland Football game has been suspended due to lightning in the area. Gates have been closed and nobody has been let in yet.

11:30 until 12:00 shows for 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms. Noon shows heavy thunderstorms and 95% chance of rain. 1 p.m. goes down to 30% chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms and at 2 p.m. it goes to cloudy with a 15% chance of rain. It turns back up to over 50% at 4 p.m. with storms moving in once again at 70% chance of rain.

For each lightning strike within 10 miles, the field must be evacuated for 30 minutes. As of 11:25, there was a lightning strike in the area.

No update on when the game will resume, but the gates to the stadium will open one hour prior to kickoff but expect possible delays once the game begins.
