2020 4-star ATH Michael Drennen II Previews Sept. 22 Visit to Michigan

Michigan is coming off one of its most impressive recruiting additions in 2019 five-star safety Daxon Hill but the show must go on.

A handful of top players will be in Ann Arbor on Sept. 22 to see the Wolverines play Nebraska. One of them is Dublin (Ohio) Coffman 2020 four-star athlete Michael Drennen II.

“I’m excited to talk to the coaches, see the campus and the atmosphere at the game,” Drennen II said. “The fans are wild in Ann Arbor.”

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound athlete has offers to play for Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Akron, Boston College, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota, Saginaw Valley State, Toledo, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.

“I like Michigan a lot,” he said. “They are one of my top schools. I like all the schools that have offered so far.”

Belleville (Mich.) 2020 four-star cornerback Andre Seldon Jr., a Michigan commit, is extremely close to Drennen. Seldon, who pledged to Michigan on June 20, constantly persuades Drennen to join him in Ann Arbor.

“That’s my brother,” Drennen said of Seldon. “He just says I should join him, and we would do big things if I went to Michigan.”

Drennen said he will make trips to Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn and Kentucky in the very near future. He also is attempting to make it to USC, Clemson and LSU.

As for Michigan, his Sept. 22 unofficial visit will not be the last time Drennen is in Ann Arbor.

“I’ll definitely be back for another visit,” he added. “The coaches are really cool. I love the atmosphere and the fans.”

Drennen is ranked No. 180 in the nation, No. 17 at running back and No. 3 in the state of Ohio, according to 247Sports Composite.
