Michigan Players Comment on Former Wolverine's Return to Ann Arbor

Last week’s game against Western Michigan had some backstory behind it. While both teams were looking for their first win of the season, and Michigan was able to get that, winning 49-3, both teams had a common thing.

Wide receiver Drake Harris.

Harris played at Michigan from 2015-2017, getting nine catches for 60 yards in the three years as he battled injuries and other receivers for playing time. Harris decided to transfer this year and he would transfer to Western Michigan.

So far with the Broncos Harris has four catches for 28 yards, three of them for 16 came last week against Michigan. His former teammates had things to say about seeing him return to Ann Arbor.

“It was fun. He was out there competing. The corners were really working their tails off because they knew that they were going to have a matchup and they knew his weakness because he has been here for so long, so it was fun to watch,” said running back Chris Evans.

Defensive end Rashan Gary also talked about Harris, saying “I was talking my trash to him a little bit, but he knows all love.”
