Michigan Remains No. 22 in Amway Coaches Poll

Following Michigan’s Week 1 loss to Notre Dame, the Wolverines dropped to No. 22 in the Amway Coaches Poll.

Despite 13 teams makes moves, including Michigan State’s 11-spot drop, the Wolverines remained at No. 22 following a 49-3 drubbing of Western Michigan.

In the victory, Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson completed 12-of-17 passes for 125 yards and three touchdowns. Backup Dylan McCaffrey completed his only attempt for an 18-yard score. Neither quarterbacks turned the ball over.

Senior running back Karan Higdon burst on the scene for 156 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries. Chris Evans accumulated 10 runs for 86 yards and two scores.

Four pass catchers – Nico Collins, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Sean McKeon and Jake McCurry – all caught touchdown passes.
