Michigan Rises in Latest AP Top 25

Like the Jefferson’s, Michigan is movin’ on up. In the latest AP Top 25 poll, at least.

The Wolverines had opened the season ranked at No. 14, but fell all the way to 21 after losing to No. 12 Notre Dame. However, an impressive win over unranked Western Michigan seems to have changed the perceptions of the media voters, as Michigan made a move up to No. 19 after the Week Two victory.

First week opponent Notre Dame remains at No. 8 after the victory over Ball State. In-state rival MSU fell from 15 to 25 after losing on the road at Arizona State. Penn State, who throttled Pitt, moved up to No. 11 after being ranked twelfth. Wisconsin was jumped by Oklahoma — who soundly defeated UCLA on Saturday — and fell from 5th to 6th. And, Ohio State remains ranked at No. 4 after humiliating Rutgers.
