ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan may have dominated Western Michigan on Saturday, to the tune of 49-3, but there were a handful of key players missing on the field.
Interior defensive tackles Aubrey Solomon and Lawrence Marshall were both key contributors for the Wolverines in Week One against Notre Dame. However, with Solomon having knee surgery (per The Michigan Insider).
But, according to Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, who addressed the situation after the game, both linemen are expected back in relative quick fashion.
“They’re both out, working through something this week,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll see when they’ll be back. But we should get them back sooner rather than later.”
Playing on the interior were Michael Dwumfour, Carlo Kemp and Bryan Mone, who had all been in the rotation before Saturday. The three combined for eight tackles on the day.
