Calabasas 5-star WR Johnny Wilson Includes Michigan in Top 6

From Calabasas (Calif.), 2020 five-star wide receiver Johnny Wilson is a highly coveted prospect, and he has been since his freshman season.

His recently released list of six schools includes Fresno State, Michigan, Northwestern, Oregon, USC and Washington.

Coach (Jim) Harbaugh came up here twice,” Wilson said. “When we’ve talked, he said that they haven’t had a receiver my size in that system and he said they need a guy like me. He’s a coach I’d really like to play for and he’s done some great things in the league.”

Adding offers since he was a freshman, the now-junior has scholarships to play for Fresno State, Michigan, Northwestern, Oregon, USC, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Boise State, California, Colorado, Colorado State, Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, LSU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon State, San Diego State, SMU, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah State, Virginia and Washington State.

Wilson, in the 2017 season, caught 52 receptions for 899 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Coyotes are off to a 2-1 start this season under head coach Chris Claiborne.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound receiver is ranked No. 17 in the nation, No. 2 at his position and No. 5 in California, according to 247Sports Composite.

Wilson has been picked to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl and the 2020 Polynesian Bowl.
