Michigan First to Contact 2020 CB Jaheem Joseph

At 12:01 a.m., just one minute after colleges coaches were allowed to reach out to junior athletes, Jaheem Joseph received a message from Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh.

The Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace 2020 cornerback was told by Harbaugh he had “extraordinary talent” and had to “keep in touch” for the next two years.

Joseph also received messages from Nebraska, Louisville, Northwestern and Cincinnati right after the midnight mark.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect has offers to play for Florida Atlantic, Louisville, Marshall, Michigan and Syracuse. Joseph visited the Wolverines for the BBQ at the Big House on July 28.

“The atmosphere is great up there,” he said. “I’m very interested in Michigan.”

As a 2020 prospect, Joseph plans to make a return to Michigan for a visit during a game in the 2018 season. If he can’t get back by then, he hopes to get into town on a different date.

Last season for Monsignor Pace, the cornerback made 54 tackles, six tackles for a loss, four passes defended and two forced fumbles. He only allowed four receptions.

Joseph, along with playing football, is a star on the baseball field.
