2019 SF Cole Bajema Receives Michigan Offer, Commits Immediately

On Aug. 4, Lynden (Wash.) Christian School 2019 small forward Cole Bajema picked up an offer from Michigan and committed to join John Beilein’s team on the spot.

“I am excited and blessed to announce that I will further my education and basketball career by accepting a scholarship offer to attend the University of Michigan,” he said on Twitter. “I would like to thank God, my parents, and my coaches for their help in allowing me to realize my dream of attending the greatest university in the world. GO BLUE.”

Bajema’s father was always a fan of the Wolverines and passed that down to his son, who lived for four years in Grand Haven, Michigan. Now, Bajema will suit up in the maize and blue.

The 6-foot-7, 175 pounder picked Michigan over Eastern Washington, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Portland, San Francisco, Santa Clara, UC Santa Barbara, Virginia and Washington.

A majority of his offers came after a strong showing in front of many colleges this summer as a member of FOH Seattle 17u, an AAU team in Washington. He attended U-M’s Elite camp in June and got to campus a day early for a visit.

Bajema joins Denton (Texas) Guyer four-star small forward Jalen Wilson in Michigan’s 2019 recruiting class. Bajema is unranked by 247Sports.
