Recruits Believe 2020 WR Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen Should Receive Michigan Offer

Other recruits with offers from Michigan believe Walled Lake (Mich.) Western 2020 three-star wide receiver Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen should join the group with an opportunity to join the Wolverines.

Rockwood (Mich.) Oscar A. Carlson 2020 three-star wide receiver Ian Stewart, Bay City (Mich.) Central 2020 three-star wide receiver Devell Washington and Belleville (Mich.) 2020 three-star cornerback Andre Seldon Jr., a Michigan commit, were the players that voiced their opinions on July 28 during Michigan’s BBQ at the Big House.

“Some of the 2020 wide receivers that Michigan has offered think that I should be,” Yaseen said. “We’ve all seen each other in sever camps and workouts together, so it was cool seeing them.

“If they offer, Michigan will be among the teams I will be watching this fall. I hope I have that opportunity. Coach Harbaugh said I did very well at camp (on July 28), so we will see.”

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver has offers to play for Boston College, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Maryland, Northern Illinois, Purdue, Rutgers, Toledo, Western Illinois and Western Michigan.

“I’ve always been serious about Michigan,” Yaseen said. “I have been coming up to Ann Arbor since I was eight years old, but my dad always tells me recruiting doesn’t start until a school offers you.”

During the BBQ at the Big House, Yaseen was told he performed well during the camp part of the visit by Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and his wide receivers coaching staff.

“We went outside and did some field drills and position drills with routes on-air with the quarterbacks,” he said. “I caught a lot of balls, ran some good routes and got some good coaching.

“Oh yeah, the food was really good.”

Right now, Yaseen is in the process of setting up visits with about six other major Division I schools. He is ranked No. 436 in the nation, No. 78 at wide receiver and No. 10 in Michigan, according to 247Sports Composite.
