2020 4-star WR Traeshon Holden Recaps 'Fun' Michigan BBQ Visit

Of all the players at Michigan’s BBQ at the Big House on July 28, one of the best in attendance was Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy 2020 four-star wide receiver Traeshon Holden.

“It was a fun experience,” Holden told WolverinesWire. “I liked it and definitely want to come back for sure. Since I liked everything about it, I know I’ll be back.”

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound receiver has offers to play for Florida, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Temple and West Virginia. The Wolverines offered Holden on Feb. 1.

Upon arriving in Ann Arbor, there were a plethora of opportunities for players to bond with each other and spend time with the coaches.

“I ate some food and then walked down to the stadium and took pictures in a Michigan uniform,” Holden said. “My favorite part was taking those pictures.”

The player Holden bonded most with was Washington (D.C.) St. John’s 2019 three-star safety Quinten Johnson, who committed to Michigan on July 3.

“He was telling me I should come up there to play,” Holden explained. “He said it’s a good school and great program to be in.”

On the coaching side of things, the wide receiver talked with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh after performing in front of him.

“We talked about the season, but there were a lot of people, so I didn’t really get to have a one-on-one conversation,” Holden said of his conversation with Harbaugh.

Among all things, Holden just wants a place he can call home for his college years. Michigan fit the feel during the BBQ, but he is still looking to find out more down the road.

“I want a place where it’s a family environment and a place I can call home,” Holden added.

The wide receiver is ranked No. 308 in the nation, No. 59 at his position and No. 13 in Maryland, according to 247Sports Composite.

Holden spoke to WolverinesWire prior to his visit. At that time, his visit was “neutral.” Now, he has a high-level of interest in Harbaugh’s team.
