Ann Arbor is only 132.0 miles down I-96 E from Grand Rapids.

Both 2020 prospects from Grand Rapids (Mich.) East Kentwood, three-star weakside defensive end Bryce Mostella and three-star offensive guard Dallas Fincher will be in Ann Arbor on July 28 for Michigan’s BBQ at the Big House.

“I’m looking forward to being around the atmosphere and being around the coaches,” Mostella said.

“I’m looking forward to being able to see all of the coaches again,” Fincher said.

The duo both earned offers from Michigan on May 17 and have the Wolverines in their top 3.

Mostella’s top 3 consists of Northwestern, Penn State and Michigan. Meanwhile, Fincher has Michigan State, Wisconsin and Michigan in his top list.

During the BBQ at the Big House, Fincher hopes to learn more about Michigan’s intern program. Mostella wants to know more about the business school.

“We have our own teams that we favor more, but playing on the same team is definitely a talked-about thing,” Fincher said. “We are really close, and it would be cool.”

Mostella, reiterating what Fincher said about the two playing together, does not want to force anything. They are also being recruited to Michigan by teammate Mazi Smith, who is a four-star defensive tackle in the 2019 class. Smith committed to the Wolverines on June 24.

“If he wants to go somewhere else, I shouldn’t force him to come with me,” Mostella said of Fincher. “He wants to see some West Coast schools and I want to see some in the South.”

The primary recruiter for Mostella, Fincher and Smith is Michigan defensive line coach Greg Mattison. For Mostella to feel fully comfortable in the Wolverines, he wants to see more of Mattison throughout the next year and a half.

“I need to see more of Coach Mattison actually coaching,” Mostella said. “I want to see him in action as much as I can. He’s produced great players, but I need to see how he gets through to the players.”

Mostella is ranked No. 330 in the nation, No. 17 at his position and No. 7 in the state of Michigan, according to 247Sports Composite.

Fincher is No. 461 in the nation, No. 19 at his position and No. 16 in Michigan.
