Lowndes 2020 CB Josh Brown Planning Michigan Visit For Fall

Josh Brown only has one offer – it’s from the Wolverines.

Josh Brown attends the Lowndes High School in Georgia, the same as Michigan enrollee Michael Barrett.

On Feb. 5, Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes 2020 cornerback Josh Brown picked up his first offer from Michigan.

To this day, it’s his only offer.

“I’m very interested in them right now,” Brown said of Michigan. “I like the bond that the team has. It’s like a brotherhood up there and that’s something I’d love to be apart of.”

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound defensive back’s next move is to get to Ann Arbor for a visit. He is currently working to schedule that trip.

“I’m working on scheduling a visit to one of the games this fall,” Brown said. “I’m not sure on the date just yet.”

The closest connection Brown has to Michigan is through Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes 2019 three-star athlete Michael Barrett, who committed, signed and enrolled with the Wolverines.

“Michael arrived in Ann Arbor a few weeks ago and we’ve talked a few times about Michigan,” Brown said.

“He’s told me about how he likes the coaching staff and we’ve talked about how the team hangs out together to form a bond. He also told me about the new facilities they have and other nice things.”

Barrett was ranked No. 753 in the nation, No. 61 at his position and No. 72 in Georgia, according to 247Sports Composite. He picked Michigan over Georgia Tech, LSU, Michigan State, South Carolina, Tennessee, UCF and others.

The 6-foot, 215-pound Michigan athlete told Brown that developing a relationship with coaches from around the nation is the most important. Since Brown has just one offer, he plans to do that with coach Jim Harbaugh’s staff.

“I want to build a relationship with the coaching staff and some of the players to get a feel for how things are in Ann Arbor,” Brown said.

“From what I’ve heard, I believe I can see myself at Michigan.”

While Brown does not have any visits set in stone, he has been in contact with Cincinnati, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech about taking an unofficial.

“I grew up a Florida State fan, so I would like to hear from them,” Brown added.
