Michigan gets another dynamic, versatile offensive weapon.

The Wolverines are looking for playmakers that can do a little bit of everything in the 2019 recruiting class, and they’re getting that in spades.

With players like George Johnson III and Joey Velazquez already committed, the next step was to find an all-purpose back that could take the ball out of the back field, swing out wide or go into the slot. Well, on Sunday, mission accomplished, as the Wolverines found their man.

Memphis (TN) Lausanne Collegiate APB Eric Gray has been a longtime target of the maize and blue, having first made an extended visit in the summer of 2018. Rated 95th overall by 247Sports, Gray is the top-ranked all-purpose back in the 2019 class. And, as he released on Twitter, he is now a Wolverine.

Gray is the 17th member of the 2019 Michigan class, and his addition vaults the Wolverines from eighth in the 247Sports team rankings to fifth, bypassing Clemson, Ohio State and Oregon.

He is the second running back in the class, with Thousand Oaks (CA) Oaks Christian four-star Zach Charbonnet having pledged his commitment just one week ago.

In his senior season in Memphis, Gray had an astonishing 3,151 yards of offense and 49 touchdowns.
