Michigan 2019 OT Target Commits To Georgia

Despite having a former teammate in Ann Arbor, the lure to Michigan wasn’t enough.

Hailing from Warwick (RI) Bishop Hendricken — the same school as Michigan second-year DE Kwity Paye — the Wolverines had hopes that they could add a second straight top-rated player from the state, but alas, no dice.

Originally offered in January, four-star offensive tackle Xavier Truss visited Ann Arbor in April. But Michigan looked to be in a battle with other Big Ten institutions, with Penn State leading the charge, having 100% of the 247Sports Crystal Ball, with 16 predictions.

However, the lure of the SEC was too much to handle, and on the heels of an unofficial visit to Athens, Truss made his commitment to the Bulldogs official.

While the Wolverines missed out on Truss, they already have commitments from Trente Jones, Karsen Barnhart and Jack Stewart at the offensive tackle, and are in continual pursuit of Trevor Keegan and William Harrod to add to the OT haul in the 2019 class.
